I’ve decided to end this year on an inspirational note. I’m spending time with some of my favorite quotes. I’m using them to charge up for the next level.
When a quote deeply touches you, your body, mind and spirit are energized. They align. It’s like having every member of your team anticipating the next step and acting in unison.
You get that “ummm…life is good feeling”.
You are ready.
This week’s quote comes from W.E.B. DuBois:
“There is in this world no force such as the force of a person determined to rise. The human soul cannot be permanently chained”.
This is the epitome of balance, the ability to locate and use your resources wisely. It’s the ability to know where to place your focus and when to shift it for the best result.
DuBois captures the power of determination as a resource to fuel every part of our being. He reminds us that our mindset is powerful beyond measure.
Despite any challenges or setbacks or perhaps because of challenges and setbacks, set a course to rise.
Determination is a source of mental and emotional energy. We feel drawn to something, even pushed toward something. Thoughts and images of our desired outcome motivate us.
We say yes to our vision. It’s a potent catalyst living deep with our spirit. Like the energy within the ocean, it animates our movement toward our goal.
Determination gets our arms and legs moving, directs our behavior. We take action to match our inner vision with our outer life.
Determination sharpens our focus. We direct our attention exactly where it’s needed at any given moment.
As we set our sights on rising in 2017, we will need determination. While it’s a force, it doesn’t have to be forceful, harsh.
Strong yet easy power originating from a deep place works perfectly.
